HSQ2: Many of your brochures say that students can earn free college credits through the EDGE program. How does that work? |
|
A: EDGE stands for "Earn a Degree - Graduate Early" and is a program where stduents can earn FREE college credit for some of the courses they are taking in high school. If a student enrolls in a course that is eligible for EDGE credit, he or she must meet certain grade requirements during the class, which the instructor will review. Other than filling out paperwork, the student receives free college credit for a course they have taken while still in high school. For more information about EDGE, contact your high school counselor, RJTC, or visit the EDGE website. |

HSQ4: Does your PC Repair Class actually repair computers? |
|
A: Yes it does, just as our auto programs actually work on automobiles and our contruction program really builds a house. If you are interested in having a program at RJTC work on your car or computer, fabricate or build something for you, or perhaps work on the blueprints for your next home renovation, contact RJTC at 304-372-7335 or contact the teacher of the program via our Contacts page. |
| HSQ5: Can adults enroll in the high school programs? |
| A: Yes, if there is space in the course. If the program is identified as a high school program, high school students get first preference. Additionally, due to safety concerns and regulations, there is a maximum number of students allowed in each course. Please contact Todd Layhew, Assistant Director, by email or by calling 304-372-7335, if you are interested in enrolling in a high school course as an adult. | |
