This two-year course offers the students the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare quality food and learn about topics such as: customer relations, menu planning, management skills, communications, computer knowledge and accounting. The Pro Start Program helps the student find an internship and/or possibly a paid work site experience at a local food service business. This is a unique opportunity to learn the food service industry from the inside out.
Prerequisites and Other Notes: Second year job placement through co-op program possible. Eighteen credit hours may be articulated through Marshall University Community and Technical College for those students who complete the Pro Start Program and pass the National Certification Test. |
