Forestry is a class for students interested in working in the wood products industry as loggers, lumber graders, sawmill workers, timber buyers, and wood product careers. Training covers areas of wildlife management, forest land management and protection, harvesting, wood carving, processing, grading lumber and conservation and environmental services. Two-year Associate Degree graduates are in demand in the wood products and forestry management industry. Leadership skills are taught through the FFA.
Prerequisites and Other Notes: Articulated credit is available through Glenville State College toward an Associate Degree in Forestry.
