High school students from Ripley, Ravenswood, and Roane County, in grades 11 and 12 may attend the Technical Center and earn elective credits. Tuition, fees, books, and transportation are free. Technical programs require a half day at the Center. In addition to technical programs, students may also enroll in Math, English, or Civics at the Center.
High school students who wish to enroll in a program at Roane-Jackson Technical Center must contact their counselor at their home high school. High school students are not eligible to enroll in the Medical Office Technology or Licensed Practical Nursing programs.
Adult students who wish to apply for a slot in a high school program must complete an application and provide a high school transcript or GED. Adult students will be accepted into high school programs only if slots remain after all high school requests have been processed. Please contact Todd Layhew, Assistant Director, by email or by calling 304-372-7335, if you are interested in enrolling in a high school course as an adult. |
